Let’s face it. Most of us want the same thing. To escape the rat race and spend our time doing the things we actually want to do rather than things we have to do. The only problem is it’s hard to escape the rat race when you’re in it. Most of us are stuck behind a desk, in traffic, or standing on our feet all day at work. Combine that with the responsibility of day to life like taking kids to school, grocery shopping, and paying bills and we have very little time and energy to pursue the things that can free us from that lifestyle.
Over the years I can say I’m thankful I’ve been able to “crack the code” and spend most of my time doing what I enjoy. 16 years ago I took a chance and walked away from a good paying job, that took all my time and energy. It was just before the birth of my son and I remember thinking to myself if I didn’t take that chance – I’d be stuck in a dead end job working for a big corporation the rest of my life. It was “scary” but I persevered and things became easier over time.
Since then I’ve been able to spend time working from home, being my own boss, making my own hours. I’ve been able to be around my kids for everything from baseball games to birthdays. I’ve been able to take vacations to tropical destinations and travel to some of the poorest countries in the world to give back.
Today I’m writing you to encourage you to take a chance. Stop putting off your dreams and take a step toward accomplishing them. It’s not going to be easy, it’s never going to be easy. But with patience, perseverance, and self-discipline you can achieve your dreams.

I often refer to the internet as the “modern day gold rush”. You may not realize it but the internet is still relatively young and there’s still a wealth of opportunity to leverage it. But you need to act now. Everyday the competition to do things like get to the top of Google is getting more intense.
